Gazing at the steam rising off the cauldron in the temple with the moon shining at all that touch's. We put this and some of that into the cauldron, is it food or is it elixir of life in the steam rising from it.
the thoughts of boil and boil toil and trouble bubbles forth from minds that are attending in the temple, ah witches of evening all ready to come forth and benefit from all the steering of the cauldron, ah...so nice so true...let us enjoy!!

Comment by Chrystine on November 16, 2011 at 12:39pm And heres a side dish Native style
One med.whole pumpkin cleaned
brush inside with a little olive oil and salt and pepper.
Bake whole on 350 approx. 1 hr. while your preparing the remaining ingredients .When done set aside
Leave whole because it will double as a serving bowl
4 cups Wild and brown rice mix
1 cube butter
2 finely chopped apple
2 chopped celery
1/2 chopped onion
1/2 cup pine nuts
1/2 cup golden raisins
1/2 cup vegetable broth
follow recipe on pkg. of wild and brown rice mix and add 1/2 cup veg.broth to cook the rice
put aside.
in Large skillet
saute the onion and celery in cube of butter
till onion is translucent
in large mixing bowl
incorporate rice,onion and celery,chopped apple,raisins and pine nuts
Now pour all the rice mixture into the baked pumpkin and put back into the oven for about 25 to 30 mins. or just till pumpkin is tender all the way through. It might be necessary to add just a little bit more veg. broth to keep rice moist but not soggy.
Enjoy
Comment by Chrystine on November 16, 2011 at 12:14pm Here's one if your having Prime Rib or Beef
Yorkshire Pudding
* 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
* 1/2 teaspoon salt
* 3 eggs
* 3/4 cup milk
* 1/2 cup pan drippings from roast prime rib of beef
Directions
Preheat the oven to 450 degrees F.
Sift together the flour and salt in a bowl. In another bowl, beat together the eggs and milk until light and foamy. Stir in the dry ingredients just until incorporated. Pour the drippings into a 9-inch pie pan, cast iron skillet, or square baking dish. Put the pan in oven and get the drippings smoking hot. Carefully take the pan out of the oven and pour in the batter. Put the pan back in oven and cook until puffed and dry, 15 to 20 minutes.
Comment by Chrystine on November 16, 2011 at 12:10pm Here a couple of recipes I serve during the Holidays Ronda.
Turkey with Cranberry Walnut stuffing
Turkey ( IMPORTANT :I highly recommend oven roasting bags it improves the juiciness and flavor of the turkey x10!)
Stuffing recipe: 2 bags of cubed ,seasoned stuffing (Pepperidge Farms is good)
1 cup dried cranberries
1 whole white onion
3 stalks of chopped celery
1 cube of butter
Fresh sage
poultry seasoning (I like to add a little extra of this seasoning,optional)
1 cup walnuts
This part is a method handed down to me by my grandmother
pour the dried stuffing in large mixing bowl .Then take large handfuls of the cubed stuffing at a time and run it under running water then squeeze excess moister out. Do this till you have moistened all of the stuffing
In a fry pan place your cube of butter, whole chopped onion,celery and salt and pepper to taste. Saute' on low heat until onion is transparent .Then pour into bowl with stuffing. Add poultry seasoning ,cranberries and walnuts and fresh sage and poultry seasoning.
Check the instructions in the box of oven bags and preheat your oven according to the turkey size .
Clean your turkey and place in oven bag and give the turkey a rub of butter. Then stuff the Turkey ( IMPORTANT:make sure your hands are very clean before beginning this process and always do this process just before the turkey goes in and not hours before-Sam n ella may invite themselves to your supper ~lol~) Okay now that your Turkey is stuffed and ready to go in the oven.Close bag and in it goes.
