How do you connect with your guide?

So, I'm just curious as to the method you use to connect with your guide. Do you channel through voice or automatic writing? Do you use trance meditation? Or is it something more psychic like visions?

For me, I use automatic writing, but have gradually been able to develop the ability to have complete conversations just in my head even at work (when no one is talking to me that is).

i go to my beach of time or i talk to them. i have tried automatic writing but need to practice more, i guess. i need to learn on how to do it properly.

I have a picture of one fo my guides that I know off and I put my hands on his picture (my guide is called melek) and I meditate and talk to him in my "secret" garden
