Hail The Goddess, Maiden, Mother and Crone.

Welcome to the group,Rev. Silent Owl. If you will excuse the pun, I have also been very silent of late - you know, conquering the mundane and all that.
I would like to wish all of the members of this group everything of success in whatever you all want to do in 2012 CE.

The 23rd of this month marks the Chinese Year of the Dragon. It's so exciting! Actually it is the Year of the Water Dragon, and so promises to be very lucky for those who honour the Dragon.
The Water Dragon is heralded by Lightning and rainfall, which bring fertility and so, the Water Dragon is highly venerated throughout the Orient.
The Warter Dragon, or Naga, is venerated at every river, lake or stream, and shrines are accordingly set up in their honour.

Here is a picture of the mysterious "Dragon lights" that are a regular occurrence throughout the region. The lights, a phenomenon which is unexplained by science, are believed to be generated by the guardians of the rivers, the Nagas. (The word Naga and Dragon are synonymous)

Naturally, one must look at the true deper meaning of the Blood, which is the life-force, also known as Chi, Prana etc. when interpreting ancient mythology ( herstory). Lilith's Red Sea is a good example of the Dragon energy or life-blood.

Starfire the Gold of the Gods by Laurence Gardiner

Star Fire was the lunar essence of the Goddess, but, even in an everyday mundane environment, menstruum contains the most valuable endocrinal secretions, especially those of the pineal and pituitary glands. The brain’s pineal gland in particular was directly associated with the Tree of Life, for this tiny gland was said to secret the very essence of active longevity, called soma, or, as the Greeks called it, ambrosia.

In mystic circles, the menstrual ’flow-er’ (’she who flows’) has long been the designated ’flower’ and is represented as a lily or a lotus. Indeed, the definition ’flow-er’ is the very root of our modern word ’flower’. In ancient Sumer, the key females of the Dragon succession were all venerated as lilies, having such names as Lili, Luluwa, Lilith, Lilutu and Lillette.

The ’Scarlet Women’ were so called because of their being a direct source of the priestly Star Fire. They were known in Greek as the Hierodulai (’Sacred Women’) - a word later transformed (via mediaeval French into English) to ’harlot’. In the early Germanic tongue, they were known as Horés - which was later Anglicised to ’whores’. However, the word originally meant, quite simply, ’Beloved Ones’. As pointed out in good etymological dictionaries, these words were descriptions of high veneration and were never interchangeable with such words as ’prostitute’ or ’adulteress’. Their now common association was, in fact, a wholly contrived strategy of the medieval Roman Church in its bid to denigrate the noble status of the sacred priestess.

The withdrawal of knowledge of the genuine Star Fire tradition from the public domain occurred when the science of the early adepts and later Gnostics (the true pre-Christian Christians) was stifled by the forgers of historic Christianity. A certain amount of the original gnosis (or knowledge) is preserved in Talmudic and rabbinical lore, but, generally speaking, the mainstream Jews and Christians did all in their power to distort and destroy all traces of the ancient art.

In addition to being the ’Gold of the Gods’, the Anunnaki menstruum was also called the ’Vehicle of Light’, being the ultimate source of manifestation, and in this regard it was directly equated with the mystical ’Waters of Creation’ - the flow of eternal wisdom. It was for this reason that the Rosi-Crucis (the Dew Cup, or Cup of the Waters identified as a red cross within a circle) became the Mark of Cain, and the subsequent emblem of the kingly succession.

Goddess Maha - Kali is the Great Mother, the Dark Mother from Whom All things come, and to Whom All things shall return. Mahakala, Mahakali’s male counterpart, brother, son and consort, is Time, and as Mahakali devours Time, The Divine Feminine is One with the Divine Masculine Principle of the Universe.
Kali has many Names, and among these are Bhavatarini, “ Redeemer of the Universe”; The Black One; She who Destroys, Kalika; and in the cremation grounds as Smasana – Kali. Kalaratri , another Name of Kali, means “Black Night”.
Kali is the Goddess of Tantric spirituality, and is known as the Highest Reality and the greatest of all deities. Kali blends with Durga and Lakshmi, Annapurna, Tara and all other goddesses , as the Five Aspects of the Goddess; Maiden, Mother, Crone, Dark Maid and Spirit combine in countless combinations. These fundamental energies represent the five Elements in which the Dark Mother has a presence as well as the various stages of our life cycle, whether male or female.
Kali is the Goddess who was here long before any other Deities, and is a pre-Aryan Goddess of Nature, the Supreme Mistress of the Universe. Kali creates and destroys worlds along with Shiva.

Mahakali is the Supreme Goddess, and Kali is the Goddess in human eyes. As we cannot overstand the Nature of the Supreme Ultimate, and so discussing Great Spirit is utterly pointless; we can relate to Goddess Kali and Lord Shiva to reach a state of spiritual awareness on the individual road to enlightenment.

“At the dissolution of things, it is Kala [Time] Who will devour all, and by reason of this He is called Mahakala [an epithet of Lord Shiva], and since Thou devourest Mahakala Himself, it is Thou who art the Supreme Primordial Kalika. Because Thou devourest Kala, Thou art Kali, the original form of all things, and because Thou art the Origin of and devourest all things Thou art called the Adya [primordial Kali]. Resuming after Dissolution Thine own form, dark and formless, Thou alone remainest as One ineffable and inconceivable. Though having a form, yet art Thou formless; though Thyself without beginning, multiform by the power of Maya, Thou art the Beginning of all, Creatrix, Protectress, and Destructress that Thou art.”

Goddess Kali has ten aspects, called by the title of Wisdom Goddesses. These ten Goddesses are known as Mahavidyas.
Mahavidya means great knowledge, and each Mahavidya can be seen as a specific, related but very unique and different energy form. We gain access to insights about the Mahavidyas through exploring their mysteries.

Kali is the first manifestation of the Goddess. Her Name means Time, and the avidya, or mystery connected with Kali is that life seems short-lived and temporary. Death seems final and something to be feared! How often do we say, “but time goes so fast”, or “we’re running out of time”?

The insight we achieve from the worship of Kali, Her vidya, is that both Time and Life are never-ending. Life does not end when the physical shell gets old in years and eventually cannot be sustained. Life just carries on in a never-ending spiral, punctuated by many , many physical deaths.

The liberation from the fear of Death, means a total liberation from fear in toto. Knowing that life carries on, lifetime after lifetime, releases one from worry, guilt and fears. As we have forever to live, we can accept death as a transitory reality amidst a sea of maya, or illusion. Kali is also the gentle and kind Mother, infinitely generous and giving, and is for initiates, the conqueror of Death as at the end of the dark night of the soul, there is the reality of eternal Life.

“There are two paths in life, one of increase and one of decrease. Knowing this to be true, we should align ourselves on the path of increase” – The Buddha

Energy cannot be destroyed, it merely changes shape and form. Now why waste one’s current lifetime with fear of any kind, or worries? Like attracts like, and thoughts become things. Worry will breed worries, and fear will multiply fears; just as healing will create health and good , helpful energy will multiply all the good things in life.
What we send out, returns, and what is sown is reaped. Sow good seeds and enjoy the fruits of fertility rather than sowing hate, discrimination and fear in order to advance on all levels of being.
We must live in the now and present, as fear is not of the present, but only of past and future, neither of which exist”

Tantric devotees of Kali are faced with confronting their worst possible fears, overcoming these, and becoming totally reconciled with death.

KRING KRING KRING HING HRING DAKSHINE KALIKE
KRING KRING KRING HRING HRING HUNG HUNG SWAHA

By meditating upon the Goddess and chanting the mantras, one will get to know oneself, ones inner self; and transform illusionary fears into eternal and limitless potential.

Om Krīm Kālyai namaḥ ,
Om Kapālinaye Namah,
Om Hrim Shrim Krim Parameshvari Kalike Svaha

Kali is Death, as is Her Sister Lilith. This is not only physical death, but death as in the ending of life cycles, projects or harmful associations as well. Just as a serpent sheds the skin and emerges anew with new purpose and vigour, so Kali shows us that all stages in life are temporary. That is why life must be lived in the moment to the fullest extent, as everything is transitory . This incarnation may end or die at any given moment and make way for a new phase or stage in the cycle of Life and Death.
Kali is infinite renewed energy.
Jai Kali-Ma, Black Goddess and Namesake of Lilith!

First you want to outline what you want to cover over the class period. Will it be a week course or multiple weeks. You will also need to make a lesson plan with your outline. This covers your subject, objectives and your sources.

I suggest that we discuss how to put together a class and organise a curriculum of sorts, I don't forsee any problems with this although time may be a burning issue for me. As you Sisters know i am busy with my book all about the Goddess and it's taking up plenty of time, although I guess that i could use some of the material in the book to put together a series of classes if that's what everybody would like in the meantime? Could you enlighten us on how it all works, rev. Sherry so that we have a better idea of how to start the ball rolling?
