Comment by Zephonith on December 9, 2012 at 3:37am Greetings, All ~
I just popped in to wish everyone a blessed and exiting festive season, starting with the Lady's Dark Moon this coming week and of course, the Solstice celebrations which are so much fun preparing for.
Quite a while ago, I mentioned that Lilith, our Dark Goddess is, in scientific terms the Dark Energy that our scientists are only recently beginning to hypothesise around.
Witches are instinctively aware of the fundamental truths of the Natural Universe and it really struck me this past week to watch this video, which starts off a bit long-windedly but then starts to become really interesting.
All things come from the Goddess; and unto Her all things must return. Lilith is the vortex of outer space, the irresistable power which absorbs all light and energy, all matter, into Herself, recycles and puriofies it all and then gives birth to myriad other forms of life once again; in a never-ending spiral of creation and desruction.
The Dark is not evil, it is all about Death, which we naturally view as a transformative process. Death is to be welcomed as the gateway to Life, not feared!
And herein lies the rub. Any and all descriptions of Death and the Dark Goddesses personifying death as somehow "evil", originates with the fear-based religious philosophies, and not with the Nature-based spiritual paths at all.
"I am the beginning and the end and all that is in-between"
Lilith teaches not only of the 5% of the universe that is visible to the human eyesight; Lilith can teach about the 95% of reality that is unseen; Lilith can introduce you to the teachers within that can teach more within a few minutes what the professors can teach in a lifetime...
and it is very enjoyable to see that some contemporary scientists are beginning to explore the hypothetical 95% of reality nowadays. Enjoy :)

Comment by Zephonith on July 30, 2012 at 6:50am This is a painting by Charles Moffat which I appreciate just because it basically says it all to me about the way in which many who relate to the Goddess, relate to certain key issues in the world of today.
Lilith represents the spirit of wild nature, and so, as we are all interconnected, almost as a giant spider's web - and everything we do, has an effect on the web, it is of vital concern to most Nature-based Pagans, especially Witches, what happens to our environment.
Many Goddesses, including Kali and Durga, often manifest with two or even four sets of arms on either side.
This is to signify the essentially Androgynous nature of the Divine Feminine, and Divinity in general, at least excluding purely patriarchal deities, where there is no balance or equality.
As we can see from the Kundalini energy diagram, we have a central column, or pillar, the spinal cord, and on either side, the energy circuit flows. One side, positive, or Yang, and the other, Yin.
This is also reflected in the Quabalastic Tree of Life, the Tree of Knowledge.
The one set of hands offer blessings and beneficial gifts to devotees, while the other hands hold weapons of different kinds, as sometimes, the same weapon does not work in every situation, and for every demon.
Lilith has been closely associated with Kali by Pagans of old and in contemporary times. It is a little known fact that the early Hebrew relifgious scholars identified the two Goddesses as One.
This does not surprise those in the Triple Goddess Tradition, naturally, who see the Ten Thousand aspects, or faces, of the Divine Feminine, as One Goddess.
