i feel i have to be secretive about it too. well as secretive i can be while wearing a pentacle. lol but i live in a very small very christian town. and the majority of my friends dont know about my beliefs and if i did tell them they wouldnt talk to me anymore. its very tough but i guess you just gotta search out that one person that you can trust and that will be understanding. like thank goddess my best friend is so open minded. she helps me deal with the unecessary closed mindness against different religions around here.

This group is kind of quiet. :)
Since I moved back to Southern Ohio a year ago I have not met any pagans in person, only online. It seems that most people are very closed-minded about anything that is not mainstream Christian. This has led me to remain firmly inside the broom closet. Even my family, whom I live with due to the economy doesn't know. I think I would be without a home if they did. Does anyone else feel the need to be very secretive about your beliefs? How do you deal with it?

Merry Meet Everyone,
My name is Gin and I live in Southern Ohio, about 20 minutes from Portsmouth. I have been a practicing Wiccan for about 10 years. I am in the middle of my first year degree. I was raised around here partially, until I was 12, then I lived in Central FL from 13 until 26. I am now 27 and moved back to area to stay with my family after a divorce. I am a single mom with 2 boys living back in the broom closet because of my surroundings. Would love to meet other like-minded people close in proximity.

Merry meet evryone! I live in Eastern Kentucky but I'm originally from Dayton Ohio. I have lived in KY for almost 23 years. I am so excited about finding this group. Hopefully we will all get to know each other and share wisdom and knowledge about our belief systems! Blessed be!
