I hear you sister. I've been trying to keep up a relationship of four years that has sudenly turned long distance and debating taking on my first degree with the intention of joining the priesthood. I'd love to know the answer to finding balance--if it exists.

I'm guessing that like with me, these two things are not the only demands on your time. I've been getting by by setting aside time every night to skype him. Maybe you should try setting asside a few hours of your week (friday nights maybe) for your relationship. Try to have one date (even just a movie night), one dinner, and one lunch with Ronnie each week. In addition, set aside time for meditation, for energy work, and working with the Goddess. And don't forget to make time for YOU too.

I am married 20+ years. So maybe my advice is out of date or not applicable to your situation. My husband and I make time for each other every evening when we get off work. We talk about our day and spend a little time together. Sometimes he needs more attention and I try to be cognizant of that. I have learned that I have to tell him if I need time to myself for my spirituality. He just doesn't know like we as women would assume he would. I have to tell him and be very specific. I don't want to say all men are a certain way because that is certainly not the case. However, many men in my experience need this kind of attention. They just don't KNOW because we have hinted or mentioned things. I have to TELL him point blank..."honey, I am going to be in the sun room for a bit. I need to spend some time at my altar." Or something like that.
