I'm interested in hearing about warrior goddesses in general, as patron deities, and how women here relate to them.

Also, this may be a little out of the range of the group, but if there are gothic women here, I'd love to hear about how you explore your spirituality and what imagery you like to surround yourself with.

Hello Wolf, If I could suggest a book to you it may help to understand women in general I am reading it actually right now and I have actually learned quite a lot about myself. It is called Goddess in every women and the author is Jean Bolean. She really gives great insight about women and the Goddess that reside in women, also she has also written a book called God in every man which I have not read yet but I will when I am done with this one. Any way it is getting late her and will get back to this section probably tomorrow evening or Saturday morning because I have TONS to do tomorrow but I really do want to give more information.

I'm curious about how Goddesses and women delt with certian aspects of life considered shameful by those they lived with like rape, self sufficiency or the menstral cycle.

Hi Sally,

I read what you had written and I know that there are certain issues that we today find to be bad, but women before say when it comes to our menstrual cycles they viewed this as wonderful and something that is not to be feared but celebrated. I my self am not sure how other aspects such as rape we looked at but women back then did not take any crap and they were looked upon as bringers of life. I will have to do some research and I will get back to this topic as soon as I can, hopefully in the next few days. Blessed Be, Kim

Hi Jillian, It is nice to see that you joined us here, as far as what the group is about, The reason I started this group is because it is a subject that I myself was really interested in and I know that others were also interested in learning more on different womens issue that we as women face on a daily basis. I think this is a place where other women and men can come when they need to vent, ask a question, or having an issue. I know that it is important when we feel like there is no other place to go but that they really need to talk. This is that place. I also want to let everyone know that I myself am just learning too even though I have been learning for years there are still a lot of things that I don't know. But I will do what I can to find the answers.
