I am just worried about whether I understand it enough plus I have a hard time remembering everything in the lesson.

I understand it as it follows along with my beliefs from when I first started as a solitary. However I am also having a hardtime remembering everything.

Merry Meet All, I had a real difficult time with Lesson 2. Had to re-read it several times before I took the test. Thank goddess I passed. I wished I would have learned about your group earlier. I was on another one and it had few members and I was the only one that posted, and that was just to see if the group was active. Anyways, thank you for being here.

You know you are not alone I not only had a hard time with 2 and yes I did pass but I have a very hard time remembering things especially when it comes to lessons. I just took 11 and did really bad even though they said I passed I just hope when I feel ready to take 12 I do better.

I just began lesson 2 and wow... lots of stuff to remember in this one; I think it's going to take me a few re-reads, along with the Study Questions, and maybe even some note cards!

MM Rowan, Note cards would probably not be a bad idea. It is a hard lesson to get through. I just took the test for lesson 5 and the ones after lesson 2 are easier. How are you doing with the exersizes? They were hard for me until lesson 4 now I've gone back and am able to do the exersizes easier. Hope you are able to get through it.

Changing Wind, I actually had to giggle a bit...the lesson is not funny, it's just that back in HS a looong time ago my best friend and I would... do what we called "play with our auras." We did not visualize a ball of light, but we would start with our hands close together until we could feel the warmth (sometimes tingle) and move our hands further and further apart to see how big we could get it before losing it; I just found that a funny coincidence. So, basically it is the same thing, just adding the visualization to it, which sometimes comes easily and sometimes does not. The first night I tried it, it came easily, but last night... well it took a few times and I kept losing it. The rainbow is a bit more frustrating, but I think that's mainly because the artist in me gets aggravated when I can't remember the order of the colors! (laughing at myself and shakes head).

It took me quite a while before I was comfortable taking the lesson 2 test. I passed but barely. I'm not sure why it seems to be so difficult. I just kept going over the material and study questions continually until I felt I had somewhat of a grasp on it.

I too find that there is alot of info to digest and being new to wicca I think that is making it even harder, but with any luck and blessings I will achieve my goals.

This lesson has been my favorite so far of any class I've taken, First Degree or otherwise. One thing that helped was to watch Rev. Don's video lesson. It's a lot easier to retain information for me when I have the "teacher/student" setting.
