Some folks have complained about the BlogTalkRadio widget going away ... it was, frankly, creating a lot of lag and slowing down the front page of the site while not being used by very many people. However, we've brought it back, just not on the front page ... it now has its own page, http://www.witchschool.com/page/btr-widget which is also linked out to from the new Pagans Tonight main page.

OK, so Pagans Tonight, WitchSchool's nightly broadcast on Blog Talk Radio, keeps growing and getting new shows, and, frankly, it's gotten to the point where it's sometimes hard to remember what's on when ... so, we've put together a specific page on the site (http://www.witchschool.com/page/pagans-tonight) that has the weekly schedule, plus links to the BTR page where you can join in on the famed PT chatroom (when the shows are live), the extensive (over 600 shows) archives, and the Pagans Tonight "swag shop"!

WHAT? EVEN MORE SWAG? YES! We've added "bulk orders" (10 and 100 packs) of buttons and magnets to each of the three Cafe Press stores! Why "bulk"? Well, Cafe Press' "base prices" are sufficiently high that by the time that shipping got added to a single button, you'd be paying pretty close to six bucks for one, this way for 10 you'll be paying about $2.30 each, and with 100 only about $1.25 each. You've got friends, right?

Patrick McCollum Loses: California Prisons Don't Have to Subsidize Wicca

California Prisons Don't Have to Subsidize Wicca
Court House News (CN) - The 9th Circuit on Wednesday rejected a Wiccan chaplain's claims that the California prison system should add a celebrant of Wicca and other pagan or nature-based religions to its paid chaplaincy program. Without reflecting on the merits of the Wiccan religion, the federal appeals court in San Francisco dashed Patrick McCollum's First Amendment, free-exercise and equal-protection claims against the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation. Rather the court concluded that the volunteer chaplain lacked standing because he "attempts to transform his employment discrimination action into an effort to vindicate the inmates' First Amendment rights."
