My name is Amy, and I am a happily married mother of one beautiful daughter, and a veritable zoo of furbabies. My husband and I make our home in the DFW area of Texas.
I have been a solitary eclectic witch for over ten years, and have been very much at peace with my decision to remain alone in my rituals and spellwork.
My origins are typically Southern; my parents raised my brother and I in a strict, Christian home, with very traditional morals and values. I remember questioning those Biblical truths at an early age, and was met with resistance from Pastors, Sunday school teachers, and at times my own parents. While they encouraged me to be "free-thinking" in some areas, religion was NOT one of them! God was God, and he was MALE and there was no room for debate, doubt, or compromise. At the age of 15 I began studying astrology and then progressed to witchcraft, through my own diligent research and reading. It wouldn't be until I was 21 that I made the life-long commitment to the Craft in a beautiful self dedication full moon ritual. While I am not new to the Craft, I AM open to learning new ways of spellcrafting and meeting others who practice alone.
In my free time, I am currently studying the magnificent and empowering art of Raks Sharqi, commonly known as Belly Dancing. I have been studying for 9 months and still going strong!
I love cooking, gardening, animals, pets, reading, decorating, dancing, writing, singing, laughing, thrift store shopping, reading tarot, astrology, listening to all kinds of music, and making new friends!
I am a Virgo cusp Libra, with a Libra Moon and Scorpio Ascendant. I am loyal, practical, passionate, creative, fun-loving, brooding, jealous, and insecure AND proud of it!
While I am open to meeting new friends, I do prefer that respect be mutual, and will most assuredly decline ANY invitations to swinging or attempts to steal my husband. :)
