MM Everyone, I am a Usui Reiki Master and would like to request help from other healers for my boss who is suffering from pancreatitis and is in the hospital. I am sending Reiki also but would be so appreciative if others will help. I will gladly…
For me, one of the most healing practices I learned (after many hard knocks) was to learn to recognize relationships for what they are and not what I want them to be. It is important to be true to yourself always. When you find yourself changing to…
I received a message that appeared to say that the attackers had some type of business relationship with the father or worked for someone with a business relationship with the father.
What Experience in Paganism/Wicca would you like to share?
I'm a solitary and have been for too many years to count. :0) In childhood, I had visions, but did not realize at the time that I was empathic and claircognizant. I've studied Reiki and am a master practitioner. I have a masters degree in educational and counseling psychology.
93,
I'm glad to hear you are a sister. I am currently a member of our temple here. As far as Freemasonry containing pagan symbols I am going to give a very conservative answer. My researches indicate that modern Wicca, via Gardner, received a great deal of it's symbolism from Freemasons. The line starts at the founders of the Golden Dawn, most of whom were members of the Masonic Rosicrucian society Societas Rosicruciana in Anglia (pardon if my spelling is wrong). The Golden Dawn taught Crowley and Crowley taught something to G. Gardner who clearly used ceremonial magick as a platform for his system. What exactly Gardner infused into Wicca from Ms. Clutterbuck is not clearly known to me yet I am not an expert.
As far as pagan symbols in Masonry goes I suppose one could either look for the Rosicrucian influence (not the Masonic variety), blame gen. Albert Pike, accept that enlightenment thinkers added studies of other non Christian philosophies into it or maybe used a lot of symbology from the Old Testament (which was at least crossed fertilized from Egypt and Mesopotamia). Many local brothers would abhor such an idea so I must emphatically add that no one person speaks for the whole of freemasonry. Add to that the lost or unknown history of Freemasonry makes all such inquiries speculative at best. Feel free to ask if you have other questions. I'm sorry to hear of your chapter. This is a widespread problem for most such societies.
