Hi Bree! It's Justin here, I'm just using Orion's account to ask something.

If I was to keep the Hawthorn you brought yesterday as a herb, how would I properly dry it to make it last? Like, would it rot away or can I preserve it?

Thanks!

Haha, I'm sort of semi-vegetarian myself, although I do eat meat about once a week (I can't resist Burger King haha). Do you have any essential oils? We're thinking about maybe making some oils for Beltane, and are looking for jasmine, bay, orange, and basil. Do you have any of these? Don't worry if you don't though, I'm sure someone will :)

That's fine :P

Yay, Hawthorn's a very traditional Beltane plant. We'll mark our circle with flowers, as well as decorate the altar with them - so if you could bring enough for that that would be great. Don't worry about the flower garlands - Siren's going to cover that :)

It's quite exciting, it's only a week and a couple of days away now.

By the way, I'm asking everyone this - do you have any allergies I should be aware of? I'm making some traditional Beltane foods, such as a Beltane Cake, custard, mushroom pasta, porridge, wine, and other random snacks. I want to make sure everyone can eat it though lol.

P.S, have you ever made a flower garland? I'm trying to find someone in the group who actually knows how to make one lol.

Here's a list of specific Beltane herbs, though just bring what you can:

Agrimony, St Johns Wort, Frankincense, Hawthorn, Ivy, Marigold, Meadowsweet, Orchid Root, Rose, Rowan, Sorrel, Woodruff, Elder flowers, Primroses, Rose petals.

It would be great if you could bring some spring flowers for the altar, of whatever kind. By this weekend I'll have a schedule for Beltane completed, so I'll post that to you then :)

If your internet's fast enough, we're planning what activities we want to do on the Guardian-Elm Circle forum, so feel to add to that.

Hey, we've decided to do the first lesson on Beltane instead (when there will be more of us), so you haven't missed out on anything. If it's okay with you we'll be taking the Eclectic Wicca course as a group, rather than the Witchcraft and Spirituality one. Also, I'll be making arrangements for Beltane over the next few weeks, so I'll keep you updated about that. You mentioned that you would be able to bring some flowers and herbs? What herbs do you have specifically (I'm thinking we could maybe do some Beltane-related spells and charms, so herbs would probably come in handy)?

That's fine - you'll be able to catch up easily enough. I can post the lesson up here if you would like, so you can still try the exercises and all. Our next lesson will be on the same day as our Beltane celebration.

So that's a yes for Beltane and a maybe for the drumming? Sweet, that makes four of us confirmed and possibly two others. Herbs and flowers would be great - we can decorate the altar and find some use for the herbs - maybe make some oils or something. We'll make most of our plans for Beltane this Sunday.

Haha that's fine :)

Britomart is a trainstation and transport centre - you can't miss it. Ask anyone for directions and they'd be able to point you in the right directions. It's in the city, near Westfield shopping mall (directly opposite it in fact). We practically always meet there cause me and Justin train to the city.

Also, do you know where Henderson is? It's in West Auckland - we're planning on having our Beltane ritual there. There's more info on the calender on the site. That's about three weeks away now - the day after the full moon drumming event (if you can't make both I would say the Beltane celebration will be the most important).
