Thank you for your comments. Unfortunately I lost both Shadow and Carter last year, but a couple of months afterwards a little black and white cat followed me home, right into the house. I didnt want her to mix with the others until I had had her checked out so I put her in a carrier and she was quite content. She lived in tmhy spare room for a while. I put 45 notices up all over the neighbourhood but no-one claimed her, I also contacted the local vet and cat charity. I still have her and I have since found her owner who didnt want her. She has mood swings, one minute she is friendly and the next doesnt want to know you - so I called her Diva. She can be very cute when she wants and I love her to bits.

I'm really sorry I haven't gotten back to you yet. I want you to know that I haven't been ignoring you or your request by any means. I have been very sick recently, and it's been very difficult to move or do much at all. I've been considering your request and trying to determine what would be the best way to go about it. I may have some suggestions soon, but with being so sick, it's been hard to think. If you don't mind giving me just a little more time to get over this, I'd be glad to get you something together that you can all do with him that should work. Will that be ok? Ya know, that's a tricky here... The problem with doing spells for others is that you haven't asked for their permission, for one thing, and that really can be a breach of ethics. The best thing, IMHO, is to do things like light candles for him and to try to work with him and communicate your hopes that he'll do what he needs and wants to do. And you can ask your patron Gods/Goddesses that he be given the strength/courage/whatever he needs in order to accomplish what he wishes.
But I think that performing a spell without his knowing it or his asking for it is not appropriate in this situation.

Hey Catrina,
When you're seeing a doctor, most of the time, they do just try to medicate you to make you feel better--and to get you out of their office! LOL ;) But often it doesn't really do the trick. Meditating, working with your dreams, and all of that usually helps to get over things a lot better. It can be hard, but it's a process of working through it all. So I'm sure you're going through a lot, but it'll be over, just remember it's not a race to the finish line!

If you're really stressed, that can certainly be the most common reason for losing focus, which is what I call the problem you seem to be experiencing. In addition, when you start to get concerned about it, that adds more stress, and it becomes a cycle that can seem unbreakable the more you stress over it. What I'd recommend is simple meditation at first, just to leave your mind blank, without trying to put anything into it (and let it choose as it will--leave thoughts to come and go as they please, in essence), or to do a simple guided meditation (your choice of what guided meditation you wish to use--beach is my fave).
Both methods tend to help strengthen your senses and can help bring you back into a more focused psychic frame of mind. But I wouldn't worry about the "when." The problem will fix itself when you're ready. There's some reason why you aren't ready. And worrying about it won't help you! Hope that helps some. Let me know if I can help you any more!
