Feeling disconnected...what can I do?

Merry meet all...I have been going thru a lot of surguries and other stressful things and lately when I try to pull back and meditate, cast runes, tarots, or sshhh just unwind and unstress myself I can't even get half way into calming thought mode when stressful thoughts ram my senses and it didn't use to be like this.
