So I thought I'd tell you all about my adventure in the woods! They were quite interesting since I had no idea where I was going, haha.. but it was still a great time! I took a bunch of pictures and I'll upload them so you can check them out in my photo gallery.
As I started on my path it was very soothing. Everything was so quite with a light breeze and the sun peeping out from the clouds. Some interesting things happened.
There was a point ( and I believe I took a picture of this.. ) that I saw this stump that looked like a carved eagle. Now I've always been a wolf lover and always thought my totem was the Wolf, but recently I've had the sense and believe I've seen the eagle fly around the tops of the trees. So this has me curious.
As I continued down the path I cam across this very large fallen tree. It looked like it had been struck by lighting for the stump ( which was huge and had a large whole where you could huddle inside ) had black burn marks.. it was sad to see such a wise old tree drop. I believe it is an Oak tree.. which is interesting that the Oak King loses the battle with the Holly King today, on the Midsummer Solstice. I sat on it for awhile.. (I think theres a picture of this as well.)
Then I came across a stream, and on the sides of the stream the earth, the dirt and mud.. was covered in fleck of some sparkling sort. It was amazing it looked like silver and gold. I was actually near an old mine pit.. I'm not sure exactly what they mined there.. but when the sun hit the ground just right it felt like I was walking on heavenly lands.. (I took a picture of this, kind of hard to see but you'll understand when you see it.)
As I continued along the stream, to my surprise I came across a young fawn in a little field. It was such a beautiful creature, an amber color. I stared at it for awhile and it stared at me.. then I began to walk forward on the trail and it too began to walk away.. I got a picture of it from far away by the time I could get my phone camera to work ;p
The last interesting part of the trip was when I came across this little stream and found the fawns foot prints in the mud ( your right... a picture too.) It had looked like it had just run about a few minutes or so before I had reached that spot... it was so fresh. After gazing down in amazement I began to walk on and found a feather.. that had fallen from the sky.. a dark black, but I almost felt as if it was an eagle feather.. and I placed it in my sack.
The whole trip was memorizing and beautiful.
What do you make of it?
