And the moral is...

This is a story from some years back... but it still manages to make me laugh.

It all began with having spent a month living on the equivalent of 13 dollars a week….. And then getting a huge back payment…. So suddenly I had money in the bank….

I thus went off on Jan 2 to buy a long awaited washing machine…. Delivery was arranged for the next morning and I was online when it arrived….. I yelled in the lobby my excitement….

Well that was when the first thing went wrong….. It was the wrong set of hoses…and one was totally missing….
Four hours I waited for that correct set of hoses…. And for their fitting… The man from the shop had to hurry as he’s a professional inline skater and had a practice to go to….

Then I tried out my new machine…and NOTHING happened…. I checked the water and power..both ok…..
So as soon as I could next day I rang the shop and a second guy came out to look…within five minutes he agreed that it was dead….

So I was promised a replacement machine… and unfortunately it arrived while I was out at an unavoidable appointment…. So instead of arriving Monday I got the new machine Tuesday. The man who delivered it tested it…and guess what?? Yes, it was dead….

Another four hour wait, this time for a serviceman who took 15 minutes to fix a factory error….
We tested it then and it WORKEDDDDDDDDD…..

But that’s not the end of the saga… when the first load was finished… I started a second but needed to change the water level… and the knob came off so I couldn’t run ANYTHING…..

I phoned the serviceman and the shop….but had to wait for the next morning…Wednesday. The serviceman fixed it but the facing was damaged and it was a temporary fix… so now I have a machine that both works and is waiting on parts…..

Now if that don’t take your mind off your troubles for a little…go try hand washing a king sized quilt cover………
