So today I bought the pattern for my birthing gown
there will be alterations, quite a few but this is the pattern
http://www.simplicity.com/p-1532-costumes.aspx
my under gown will be a natural unbleached white fabric with a lace front to allow for nursing the baby. The gown will only go to about my knees
the over coat will be a blue for water since my son will be born a water dragon according to Chinese astrology. we will have silver accents for the moon and gold for the sun.
The over coat will also be shortened and the lacing for the corset part will only do up over my chest not over the tummy at all.
Other then that I will be attempting embroidery on some scrap fabric if all goes well I will embroider the dress if not I shall buy fabric pens and draw my designs.
The end of pregnancy is always so exhausting! I can no longer see my feet and the floor has magically become out of reach. My maternity clothes don't fit much anymore and that is frustrating because they are very expensive for only 9 months and to outgrow the belly bands early is just not cool!
trying to do more exercise to prepare for birth and remembering to drink my tea, mind you I can barely remember anything anymore LOL.
I'm still pining over an Ebook I really want but I lack a credit card :(
I hope everyone had a blessed Imbolc, my daughter and I haven't celebrated yet due to school and visiting her father this weekend. But I shall post pictures of when we do!
