Pale fingertips touch my own,
long and slender,
intertwining with my own.

"Come with me,"
the Night said in an unearthly whisper.
"Let me hold you like no other."

But I was unsure
for the Night has no light to see by
and no one knows what it truly is.

The Night hides things, you see
and devours what may seem innocent.
However, he is not as bad as he may see
since he takes away what could be evil also.

"Let me embrace you,"
he sighed once again.
And this time, I smiled.

Although the Night hides behind mysterious eyes,
he knows how to love.
He knows how to be kind.

All the same, it can seem lonely in the night,
like he is not completely there for you.
Luckily, I ended up meeting another
who the Night enjoyed just as much.

The newcomer was just as pale,
if not more so.
Yet he was much gentler somehow,

He seemed fragile
and much more effeminate
and his eyes seemed to weep a sad poem.

"Hold me,"
he silently cried.
"Hold me, and I will give you something your Night cannot."

"He loves me."
"I can love you, too."
"And what would you give me?"
"I can give you light."

So I kissed the Moon's silken lips
and I basked in his glow.
I was so in love with that light
while remaining in love with the once moonless Night.

I'm glad you liked it. I will add any new poems I end up writing as well. I have older ones, but I doubt I will put all those up.
