Finally!

School's officially started, finally! The family is back into the "school" routine. Here I thought I would have more time but I don't. I've been teaching preschool to our entire playgroup and that seems to take 1/2 day planning and then 1/2 day for the class. On top of that, I've been working on getting the SpiralScouts Leader's newsletter ready - fought with some formatting for 3 hours yesterday and then finally gave up. I'll get back to that later today.

And on top of doing yoga I've been able to get over to the rec center and do some water aerobics. It's easier on my body and makes me feel good. Overall, in the past 7 weeks I've lost 16 pounds. Yay!

The CFS/FM is getting easier to deal with. My doctor put me on an anti-inflammatory for the Rheumatoid Arthritis and an anti-depressant that's supposed to help with the FM pain. They do help but the pain is still there. The good news is that on my really bad days I'm now at least able to walk around the house a little where I couldn't before. The bad news is that the new meds cause some havoc with my insides and I'm having to take other supplements. I go back to the doc in 3 weeks so we'll have a chat about that. If the meds are causing other problems, I'm not sure I want to take them. But I don't think I want to be in pain all the time either.

The family is all doing good, overall. David hasn't been in the best of moods since he's been home from trucking and I haven't been able to get him to open up yet. But at least he seems a little happier.

My best friend from Alaska came to visit me on Labor Day. She was taking a little vacation in Seattle and took a couple days to come over and see me. I loved having her here and we had a really good time together. She's planning another trip to Seattle in January and I'm going to fly over there and hang out with her for a couple days. I'm so excited!
