Full Moon

In to the night sky I look with great wonder. At first it is a blanket of black, broken only by the twinkle of the stars in the darkness.
Soon however the moment I have been waiting for comes. The Goddess splits the horizon with her nightly gift of pure light. Tonight the light will be full. Bathing Father Earth with its blessings and providing good hunting for the night breed.
As in times past this gift will be accepted by many as a new cycle of life’s beginnings and endings. To others of the modern day it will be just another night.
The children of the Goddess and God will gather in circles big and small or alone as one. They will give thanks, ask for guidance, or just honor the mother and father.
This is only one of many nights but on this night the tide of life changes once more. It will be one more mark on the wheel of the year that has passed.
So on this night ask for what you may, give thanks for what you have, and honor the great Mother and Father that are in us all. For it is only one night but it will only come once. Yes there will be many more but let this one not go unnoticed. For this one day will only come once then its gone like a flicker of light.
So take a moment and reflect, light a candle for yourself, a loved one or some one in need. Look into yourself, let the light fill you up with it energy and clear out all the things that need to be put right. Think of yourself, others, the Goddesses and Gods, or think of nothing at all. Just take some time out and enjoy this gift of light. Stand under the moon and look into her beauty and bathe in her gift of light and renewed energy.
