Well, I had been pet-sitting for a friend. She has German Shepherds, and they're a handful, that's for sure. They bark and put up a fuss. I just slipped the food under the fence for them, cuz 2 of them are fear-biters. Nice! LOL

But, you would think that if I was going to get hurt, I would have while tending to the dogs, right? No, not in MY case! :P What happens to me? I fall as I'm walking on flat pavement heading back to my car on the last visit of the entire trip!

I've been falling, and I've previously been diagnosed with a positional vertigo, but I've been through PT and been cleared as being fine. But I guess the crystals in your ear that keep you from having it can get dislodged at any tie. If you hit your head or have anything happen, you can get them knocked out of place. Me? Hit my head? NEVER! LOL Uh, yeah, right!

I would not be surprised if I had! I have no clear recollection of anything happening, but it's certainly possible. I have 2 dogs, 7 cats, and work with horses when I can. Who knows if somebody knocked me in the head? I do experience vertigo on a normal basis, but that's been a regular thing off and on, so it's never really bothered me, I get it.

And my hubby Ed has caught me from falling several times in the last few weeks. He will catch me and keep me from actually going down. He thought it was my shoes, but I've come to determine that it doesn't matter what shoes, though less secure footing certainly doesn't help any.

At any rate, this was Wednesday morning, and I fell as I was headed back to my car. I put my left hand out to cat myself on the car, trying not to go all the way down. Didn't do anything to save me! I hit my chin (scratched it up nicely, I hope it won't leave a scar, tho!), scraped both knees up pretty good (though the left is by far much worse, bruised in 3 places and much more sore), scraped my right palm pretty badly (the entire surface of the palm had scrapes and scratches), tore a hole in the side of my right foot, and jammed and broke the second toe on my right foot as well as scratched and scraped it up, too. Needless to say, I bled like a stuck pig and didn't have a lot of fun.

I had a horse camp I was supposed to work with my sister for, but I ended up not making it. It took me an hour to dig all the dirt and grime out of my wounds. She was fine with me not coming, but I do get paid for it, and that really sucked!

So far, I'm healing ok, everywhere but the toe that's jammed and broken. I still can't walk on it well or put any pressure on it. How much fun!! LOL

I know I'll heal soon, but my feet look funny now. My right foot looks very different now from my left, as the broken toe is pushing more out to the side than the left does, and it is bent very different than the other. It just is cosmetic, but it looks weird to me. I may have to go get seen about all of it, and I'm considering talking to the doctor about disability, as I know for sure now that I will have a very hard time going back to work on a permanent basis for a very long time. With all the stuff that keeps on going, my best hope is to do something from home, which I'm not really skilled in. The best thing is MDJ, here, and school!

But, we shall see what she says. If she thinks I have a good chance of getting any better, then I shall continue my quest for wellness. No matter, I will continue the quest for wellness, it's a matter of what can be done, and how well "well" will be! :)
