In many paths we can see how the snake is represented as a go between for the spirit world and the material world, it is a powerful symbol of pure understanding, of achieving a higher state of being. We see the snake in the Kundalini as a way to pull our raw energy to the god head in order to tap into the universal flow of understanding. We see the snake dancing with its partner in a dance that represents the double helix, so inbred is this idea of the snake as a passage to the source that it is in our very being.
Some things that will help you to understand Keether as you walk your own tree of life;

Comment by Mentis Amor on January 27, 2013 at 1:37pm Alright in the next couple of posts I am going to take you through some ceremonial understandings of the tree of life and its proximity to Vodou work. For this I am going to be using traditional Golden Dawn methodology as well as writings from Sallie Ann Glassman.
Because Vodou does contain a good amount of hermetics, kabbalah, and thelemic work it is beneficial to understanding.
