It's been a while since I was active, but getting back into studies again. Summer has been wet and cold so far this year but that usually means a long summer into October and possibly a St. Anthony's summer in November as well. I actually managed to get a lot of gardening done this year, and so far the groundhogs have left everything alone. I planted corn, peas, tomatoes, bananna peppers, spearmint, lavender, sunfowers, "butterfly mixture", petunias and nasturtiums. I also dug a small firepit in my back yard and have been enjoying that. Have had two full-moon rituals around it in may and june.

I've been participating in Sabbats with Port City Pagans (look them up on facebook) and that's been great. Besides ritual we also do craft workshops and my spirit doll is the result of one of those ( see my pictures).

My oldest daughter has moved out of the house and is living in Montreal now. She's attending McGill and doing well up there. Life is going well except on the employment front. I've been out of work since Feb and jobs are scarce on the ground so that's not great.

I've been volunteering a lot with teens and kids in an impoverished neighborhood and that has been very interesting, hair-raising and fulfilling. Had to use my first aid training twice in one week!

I'm getting a lot of overdue maintenance done on my house and am enjoying my yard and the 2 red squirrels, 5 chipmunks, 3 gray squirrels, 2 groundhogs, cardinals, goldfinches, chickadees, purplefinches, robins, grackles, mourning doves, woodpeckers, indigo buntings, warblers and sundry varieties of little brown birds that frequent it every day.
