My thoughts and Frustrations on things ( mostly religion )

I know that as a physical/tangible being of whatever God(s) we believe to be true we have free will to do as we choose, but I am shocked and confused about somethings, even frustrated. I know that no matter the religion you have to have a balance of light and darkness. With that being said I can start to write what I am shocked, confused and frustrated about.

As a whole we say we belong to religion, that we do right by it, ok then why is there crime if we if we do right by our religions? why do we steal, rape, murder, ect.? For example: In the christian bible it states NOT to do these things and yet we still do. So I believe we need to think before we speak and say that we are doing right by our religions. This is for ALL religions by the way. I know we make mistakes, but we should not use religion as a shield or say we are doing right when we know we are not. Instead we should say " I'm TRYING to do right by my religion".

I know for sure that in the Wiccan/Pagan and Christian religions we are told "Ask and you shall recieve", if we know this and we are truly praying or if we know this and we are NOT praying ( or doing spell work ), then why are we still complaining? In either case you shouldn't be complaining and in somethings we pray or ask for WE also have to contribute to get what we need or seek, that's why we have goal setting skills.

Last but NOT least, on the Wiccan/Pagan side of the spectrum we are taught to use the universe and its energies to seek what you need or are asking for. I even seen Wiccans/Pagans complain that they don't have what they need or seek and yet they are not using the skills they are taught. All I am trying to say is why complain when you haven't asked or helped in the matter?

**NOTE: This is just my thoughts that run through my head, I am not telling anyone to change or tell them what to do, I just like to write what's on my mind and then blog about it. Sorry if I have upset or offended anyone. **

because " what is right for one man, may not be right for another " plain and simple. It states that " We ought not DO these things " which in turn leads one to a simpler life , less confusion. some called them laws, some called them decrees some called them commands. How do we judge the unjust without these ? To me the word ' religion ' has many concepts , to some its going to a place on a certain day , to others its a certain time of the month , and yet to some it is not a place or a date or a time , its holding True to who YOU are , our own ethics , our own inner self , doing that which we all know or should know to be right . Making the best choices for the self and sticking by them " Know THY SELF " and not vearing one inch from it . We are taught to ask , and yes we receive , we are not only to give praise but to ask , how many times have you asked and you were given ? Either by the mother, a guardian or someone or something else ? Im sure it has happened to all of us . To me rites are just Prayers in motion, our needs and our wants sent out to the universe , the mother, the Creator , Etc... WE are told to [ GIVE ] now what this give is, perhaps is in conjunction with what we need ? and to want something and to be in need of something are to different things . The universe, God, Mother, etc.. gives to us what we" need ", not what we think we " want ", because what we [ want ] may not necessarly be good for us, even though we ' think' we want it . look at how any child is raised by a parent ,the universe , God, Mother, knows whats best for us , weather the we believe this or not. If you lack ' Faith " in what you believe, perhaps this is why your rites , your prayers, your spells are not answered ," OH ye of little Faith " Or perhaps your faith only resides in you ? BB

I have to agree with you, people complain all the time about things they have the power to change. There seems to be several reasons for this but I think the most prevalent is that they want (or often they believe they deserve or are entitled to) something for nothing. They'd like everything handed to them on a silver platter with the least possible effort.

As for why there is rape, murder, etc. yet people still claim to be religious is a little trickier, I think. Mental illness can explain why someone can think they are religious and a good person but they are also a rapist. The same can be said for someone who says they are devoutly religious but beat their family. Of course there are always people who lie about just how religious they actually are and there are people who believe if they go to church or pray and ask forgiveness, no matter what wrongs they've committed, they'll be forgiven and all is well. And we must remember that just because someone says they are religious doesn't automatically make them a good or kind person.
