I've spent like an hour searching online for software for a BOS. I want something I can keep everything in from online, but is still functional and attractive looking. -_- Anyone know of something amazing?

Hi Karen -
Depending on what you want this to do - you could use a blog. You can archive, organize by tags, add photos and video along with free form text. Blogger is definitely the easiest to use, but Wordpress will give you a lot more flexibility.

Google also offers free webspace, which as an added bonus can be password/email protected. So only the people you give out the link to will be able to see it. I've used it before and it is an easy to use, attractive way to post things online.

You might check the Book of Shadows club discussions. I haven't looked at them all, but someone might have left some ideas there.

MaryAnn, I haven't even gotten around to look at discussions and what not yet. Jay, a BOS is a Book of Shadows. Rain, I was considering a blog, but I'm not really sure I'd like that. I started a regular notebook, but I was looking for something I could have on the computer that I could organize everything in.

I keep mine on computer as well and print my pages out on parchment paper with a printer dedicated to only that purpose. I have a folder labeled Disk of Shadows and in that folder I have everything broken down into their own folders (example, 1 folder for sabbats, individual folders for each sabbat inside that one, a seperate folder for esbats....). I use microsoft word to do my writing and save everything in their appropriate folders. (rituals and spells have their own folders based on their purpose). I am in the middle of combining them all into one file with a table of contents that will link to each individual section within the DOS. Just an idea, you only need a word processor to do this. I back everything up on a 4gb thumb drive that I have blessed and keep stored in a case that is always on me.

I got this from the Pagan Heart site. It is a simple but functional BOS. It does the trick for me.
Another program is very good for keeping and arranging files, though it is not called a BOS, it does the trick for keeping your files for your BOS organized is called 'Treepad'.
For freeware :TreePad Lite 4.3 for Windows go to:
http://www.treepad.com/download/ then scroll down to 'Treepad Lite 4.3
Hope these help.
Blessed Be!
