Today is Remembrance day so we went to the big ceremony at Harbour Station (stadium). Vets of WWII are getting scarce on the ground now, but there were quite a few vets from Afghanistan there. I was pleased with the large turnout and especially the number of kids there. About 20 years ago almost nobody showed up for these things.
The weather has been beautiful lately, a real Saint Martin's summer. My family and I have all been down with the Swine flu. I am over it now but my wife and kids are just in the middle of it. It was not much rougher than a regular flu.
I start a new job next week working in a group home for young men with autism. I'm looking forward to that. Other than that things are ticking along nicely.
