Samhain

I've been thinking about Samhain being the beginning of the witches' year and thinking it would be a good idea to make some new year resolutions.

I've been unemployed for a while and it's seeming more and more like I'm stuck. I want to work but I put a lot of effort into getting a Masters and I want to use it, not apologise for it. My MSW makes me too qualified for entry level jobs and I don't have enough experience to get a job that requires an MSW. I've been thinking about going back to school to get a teaching certificate but that's because I'm comfortable at school, I like school and I'm good at it. I'm not sure I'd be well served trying to get a teaching job with three degrees, two of them post graduate.
I'm a good social worker and that's what I want to do but..... it seems like I have to decide what compromises I'm willing to make to get a job.

The other thing I need to do is work on the course materials from Tarot College and Witch School. I've been sitting on Lesson 5 for the first degree of WSI forever and need to actually sit down and study and write the exam. In some ways finishing university was one of the only things in my life I've ever finished. That needs to change.
