SpiralScouts International needs volunteers!

Dear Members of the greater Pagan Community,

SpiralScouts International is in need of volunteers. Usually we remain within our existing registered affiliates to fill these roles, however we have found ourselves in a position where we need to open them up to the greater community. SpiralScouts has gone through a lot of changes in the last 2 years and we have been working hard to become the Scouting organization that our families are proud to be a part of. However, running an international organization takes a lot of teamwork.

The following positions are open and need to be filled. If you are interested in any of them please contact us (volunteers@spiralscouts.org) for a complete duties list and expectations of the position.

All positions require consistent computer/internet access as all meetings are held online. Close proximity to HQ is not a requirement. All volunteers must have background checks done by SSI.

Treasurer: must have accounting/bookkeeping/treasurer experience. Knowledge of quickbooks preferred but not required. Must be bondable. Must apply with resume and letter of intent. Must be able to attend monthly board meetings.

Handbook Chair: Must be familiar with various graphics and word processing programs. Previous writing/editing experience preferred but not required. Must be able to attend monthly meetings.

Handbook Volunteers: Experience with graphics and word processing programs preferred but not required. Writing/editing experience preferred, but not required.

Website Volunteers: Website maintenance experience required. Will work with Webmaster.

Badge Development and Design Volunteers: Graphics program and related experience preferred but not required.

Fundraising Volunteers: related experience preferred but not required. Will work with Fundraising chair on developing and implementing organization wide fundraisers.

Public Relations Volunteers: related experience preferred but not required. Will work with PR Chair on creating and updating pamphlets, media releases etc.

Newsletter and Magazine Volunteers: Related experience preferred but not required. Assist Secretary in producing quarterly Leader’s Newsletter and Scout’s Magazine.

Sewing Volunteers: Sewing sashes and capuches for the SSI store. Sewing experience required. Patterns are provided.
