The Pagan Globetrotter - Issue 6 - January Initiations in PA

27 January 2012

If traveling is the best part of my life, the best part of being a member of the High Priesthood is welcoming new members.  So, Friday night was truly amazing.  While the travel to Slatington was not that far, I always enjoy rituals at Pam and Karl’s.  In this case Lady Dianne Lavendoski and Lady Sarah Lunn joined with me to perform initiations and dedications.

I want to state my congratulations to our First Degree Initiates:  Rev. Dee, Rev. Cee Cee, Rev. Pam, and Rev Cher.  I am honored to have been there to perform your initiations.  It was a great experience for me.

And a special welcome to our new Dedicants:  Jade, Gwenn, and Meta Vega.  We have a great hope for the future with people like you joining us.  I am excited for the Tradition.

After the initiations and dedications, everyone else joined our circle for a Candlemas / Imbolc ritual.  A multitude of candles was lit to encourage the Sun God to return and warm the Earth.  It was a powerful experience.

As stated above, I need to express appreciation to Lady Dianne for performing the High Priestess role for the rituals.  Special thanks also to Lady Sarah Lunn for acting as Mistress of Initiates and for assisting in the Imbolc ritual itself.  We could not have done it without your help.

Lastly, but certainly not least; thanks to Pam and Karl for hosting the event at their home.  This is my third experience with ritual in Slatington.  And each one is better than the one before…  and they have all been great.

After the rituals were closed out and the circle opened, there was a feast and a cake.  I can only speak for myself, but I had more than enough to eat.  I wouldn’t fit my robes if I ate like that all the time.

Thanks again to all concerned.  You guys through a great ritual event.  I am looking forward to the next time when we get together for ritual.

The entire ritual was awesome and everyone had a very emotional experience. I was very proud and glad to have the honor to assist with the bringing forward new priestesses into the tradition. The joy shown in the faces of the new first degrees was a pleasure to see. I feel that this is only the beginning of the forward motion of the tradition. * ;)

You speak the truth. The rituals are always great and get better every time. ")

It was so awesome to see the Dedicates get dedicated. It brought tears to eyes and my face hurt from smiling. ")

Ok, This one is my favourite one so far. Lol. I'm sure it may be subject to change, but I love this because I love our Tradition, and I love its thriving and its people-treasures. This is glorious - RFL <3.~
