The Witch School World of Music

Hey everyone, Tony here. I'd like to take some time out to address something seriously lacking in the Witch School world right now. That lacking of course, would be our support of Pagan music. As your own personal musician, that's right, I am behind much of the music you will hear on Witch School's videos and now radio show. I believe that we as a community can withstand showing much more support for Pagan music, and the endeavors it takes to get the music heard.

In case you are not aware, I promote my band and tend to showcase to others artists that I personally believe are influential in the Pagan world. With as much huzzah as we see within Witch School's boards about Pagan unity and Pagan pride, one would think that the necessary support for Pagan bands and music would go hand in hand, but alas it is not the case.

If you are a Pagan musician, I would emplore you to submit your own user videos of your music, or to send your music to our beloved CEO Ed at edthepagan@aol.com to be shared on our radio shows. Further, just simply offering us a place to listen to your music would be wonderful. We as Pagans shouldn't be afraid of showcasing our talents. Even if we feel that our sounds aren't all that amazing, as Pagans, we should celebrate one another's foray into music, and exploring the sounds of our ancestors, even if through modern means.

I suppose I'm hinting at just a little bit of frustration, that there's a lot of talk for Pagan things, but when they're offered, no one seems to be around to accept them. Or that it's just that, talk. As a musician, I'm also a person of action, and like to set forth with examples. Witch School can provide you with ample opportunities to be heard. All you have to do is put in the effort to do so.

With that in mind, I'm going to try and convince my band to get its first real music videos underway, and look into doing some more audio/visual work myself, seeing as I've been lacking a chance to further explore my own music in the Witch School community. After all that's said, I only hope that we can see more support for Pagan music on the site. I know I'd appreciate it.

One way or another, I'm going to open up the doors for other struggling Pagan artists to come through, and hopefully I'll open a flood gate that will only get Witch School more exposure. We'll see, we'll see.
