You are welcome! It is framed and in my living room. Hey I am old enough to admit that most of the bad things that happened to me...I played a part. As long as I try to follow this I will continue to get better. I have what is called "brain to mouth disease." Whatever I think comes out of my mouth. I have a VERY short temper and a dagger for a tongue. I am really good at arguing and there is part of me that LOVES it! But, I hurt other's feelings and then I have to apologize. So, it does me a lot of good too Larry. See....I happen to be Aries...I get myself in really big trouble sometimes. ;)

I've seen this wisdom applied to Buddhism, Christianity, and even just used as general wisdom on a poster in the hall of my son's middle school, attributed to a 20th century author. I believe it is ancient, and after a day like I just had, good for me to read tonight.

I spent the day trying to do a good deed for an underprivileged family, and at the same time trying to take care of my own. By the end of the day I was a mess. I was intolerant of everyone and everything. My language was getting bad, and later got worse, due to a relentless onslaught of negativity throughout the day (not making excuses, just naming the cause of the effect).

Thanks for the post. It reminded me of who I am . . . and made me feel better at the same time.

Spread the word. I posted it on facebook too. Sometimes when I feel the need to do something like that it is because someone else needs to hear it. I love this too. The author is unknown, so it is more than ok with me. It is powerful. I went to get my drivers license renewed and they had this taped to the wall. I asked them to copy it for me on the spot. They didn't know the author either. :) You are welcome to it.
