Witch School Video Lessons at IndieGoGo.com!

Greetings!

I have started an IndieGoGo campaign to raise money to help me finish filming the Witch School Degree Lessons. As you may know, creating a video version of the Degree Lessons has been a long standing goal of mine, and I have set a deadline for myself to have them completed by Beltane of 2012. Not only am I filming the Degree Lessons, but I am filming them in High Definition, so that they will be better suited to current and future technology. This is a big job, but one I have absolutely set myself to complete. But to complete this job, I need your help.

Why is this project important? I believe that video offers an immediacy and an accessibility that will be a huge improvement over the current, written, form of our lessons. The written word is great, but so much can be lost when the tone of voice and vocal emphasis is missing. Video offers a greater intimacy, a sense of personal connection, beyond what the written word can do. Pictures can help to illustrate how magic is done, but an actual visual demonstration of a spell or ritual, or an animated presentation showing how the energy actually works, can be much easier to understand than any two-dimensional description. I believe that the video version of the Lessons will be the most accessible and understandable teaching tool for metaphysics available to anyone at present. In fact, because of the animated sections illustrating how energy works in spells an ritual, short of face-to-face instruction. I feel it is even superior in some ways to face-to-face instruction. I truly believe that the video lessons are a revolutionary step in metaphysical teaching.

Now you may ask why I need to raise money to finish filming the lessons. Can’t I just do it? Well, to some extent I can and am, but there are some serious issues that only funding can help with. I need to be able to set aside enough time to be able to film what are meant to be three years worth of classes. At present I film at night after a full workday, which makes for slow going. If I could help offset some of my everyday costs, so that I could devote more time to this project, it would move along much faster. Also, though I can do the filming and editing alone, I would greatly benefit from being able to have filming and editing assistance – more hands will do more to expedite this project than anything. And while animation may be a powerful teaching tool for the dynamics of energy work, it is also a time consuming one that could be greatly sped up through more hands.
